In game two, Texas State jumped out to a 1-0 edge in the top of the second, on an RBI double by Allison Snow that drove Lacey Duncan home.

North Texas responded in the bottom of the second tying the score at 1-All with an RBI double by Caitlin Grimes.

Both teams went scoreless for the next two innings, until North Texas' Renae Bromley and Mariza Martinez hit back-to-back home runs in the fifth inning. Before the inning was over, the Mean Green scored a run due to a passed ball to go up by three. North Texas added on five runs in the sixth to win the game 9-1 on a run-rule.
