Scouting Texas State

Texas State (3-9) just wrapped up play in the ESPN Cancun Governor's Cup. The Bobcats finished 1-2 in the tournament. Texas State is scoring an average 78 points per game and its free throw percentage has improved over the past few games. Leading Texas State in scoring is Cameron Johnson. Johnson netted a Bobcat-high 24 points in Texas State's 79-68 victory over Appalachian State. Also, averaging double figures is Tony Bishop with 10.3 points per game and 7.3 boards per game.

Scouting UT Tyler

UT Tyler (4-6, 3-3) is riding a two-game win streak into Friday's contest. The Patriots recently captured a 88-82 win over Howard Payne. Leading UT Tyler in scoring is Brandon Levine with 12.1 points per game. Chris Carter is the top rebounder for the Patriots averaging 5.5 boards per game. UT Tyler enters the game putting up an average 66 points per game, but the Patriots are allowing 72 points per game by their opponents.  The Patriots are however, shooting 70 percent from the charity stripe.
