Denton, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team will play the University of North Texas on Sunday, Dec. 19 at the Super Pit. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. This will be the second time in the last month that the two teams will play.

Scouting Texas State

Texas State (2-6) is on a five-game losing streak after losing to Texas Southern 78-64 on Thursday night in Fort Worth. The Bobcats were led by Travis Jones in the last game. Jones recorded 19 points and nine rebounds to lead the Bobcats.

Scouting North Texas

North Texas (8-2) has won six of its last seven games. The Mean Green's most recent victory came in a 68-49 victory over Jackson State on Dec. 11.

Last Time Out

Nov. 27, 2010 - Texas State and North Texas faced off last three weeks ago in San Marcos, when the Mean Green battled back and escaped with an 81-77 victory over Texas State. Ryan White led the Bobcats in points with 16 and Tony Bishop led Texas State on the boards with nine rebounds.
