Game Notes
San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball squad (1-0, 0-0 SLC) will host Long Island (1-0, 0-0 NEC) on Tuesday, Nov.16. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at Strahan Coliseum.
This will be the first meeting between the two teams and the first time Texas State will face an opponent from the Northeast Conference since the 1961 match-up against Central Connecticut.

Scouting Long Island
Long Island is coming off an 87-64 victory over Norfolk State on Nov. 12. The Blackbirds shot 54 percent from the field and 61 percent from the free throw line to come away with the 23-point win. Jamal Olasewere led all players with 17 points going 5-for-8 from the field and 7-for-11 from the charity stripe. Kyle Johnson had seven boards and 10 points.
Scouting Texas State
Texas State opened its season on Friday night with a 89-62 win over Sul Ross State. Leading the Bobcats was #J.B. Conley with 17 points. A.J. Stewart# had 14, while Tony Bishop added 14 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. Texas State shot 51 percent from the field and 68 percent from the free throw line. The Bobcats managed to dish out 13 assists as a team and come away with 15 steals.
