Bobcats Lose 3-0 to Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Texas State falls to Missouri 3-0 at the Tiger Invitational. The Bobcats fought hard as they dropped each set 25-22 to the Tigers in their second match of the tournament.

Outside hitter Jessica Weynand led all Bobcats with 11 kills and eight digs. Outside hitter Mo Middleton recorded seven kills and seven digs. Brittany Collins tallied double digit assists for the second straight game as she finished the match with 19. Freshman Caleigh McCorquodale had eight assists and nine digs.

The Bobcats slimmed down the service errors in this match, but were not able to close it out. The Tigers hit .149, while the Bobcats hit .061; neither team being able to cross the .200 mark.

Texas State will play BYU tomorrow at 10:00am in its last match of the Tiger Invitational before returning home to play Texas Tech on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Tomorrow's match between the Bobcats and the Cougars will be the first meeting between the two teams.
