SAN MARCOS - Brian Borski pitched his first-career complete game and earned his fifth win of the season, while the Texas State Bobcats scored runs in every inning Sunday afternoon, combining for a 15-2 run rule victory over the McNeese State Cowboys to complete the Southland Conference sweep at Bobcat Field.

Texas State improves to 31-10 on the season and 18-5 in league play, while McNeese State drops to 19-21 and 8-16, respectively.

The Cowboys struck first with an unearned run in the opening inning and SpenserDennis answered in the Bobcats half with an RBI single through the left side to tie the game.

In the bottom of second, Tyler Davis hit Kyle Livingstone and three batters later tossed a wild pitch to score the junior.

Down 2-1, McNeese State scrapped back into the game in the top of the third when Steven Irvine singled to shallow right field and scored on a base hit single from Taylor Freeman.

The 2-2 game was broken for good in Texas State's at-bat when Laurn Randell and Livingstone cranked back-to-back solo home runs for a 4-2 lead.

Borski closed out the game on the mound, allowing just two hits over the next four innings and did not allow a McNeese base runner to move past first base.

Meanwhile the Bobcats added three runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth and tacked on five runs in the bottom of the sixth to stake the win.

Dennis went 3-for-5 with four RBIs, including a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth.

Bret Atwood went 3-for-4 and extended his hitting streak to 15-straight games. Jason Martinson and Tyler Sibley both notched a pair of hits to add to Texas State's total 14.

Irvine was the lone Cowboy to post two hits.

Davis took the loss for McNeese State and falls to 4-3.

The Bobcats claim their 12th-straight win and will look to knock off No. 2 Texas Tuesday afternoon in Austin. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. and a live broadcast will be available on 89.9 KTSW FM.
