SAN MARCOS -
Gabby de Reuck (Hoekwil, South Africa)
"Gabby brings a wealth of international experience with her to Texas State. She has won four events in South Africa in the past two years and recorded a low round of 68. Reuck recently finished in third place at the Rose Bowl (South Africa), a very large junior event - with cold conditions, and shot a 70 in the final round."
Katinka Dufour (Paris, France)
"Katinka graduated from high school in 2007, but took the last year off to train and compete at IMG in Bradenton, Florida, a top junior golf academy. Dufour's swing saw dramatic improvements and she recorded a number of rounds in the mid-70's while competeing as an amateur in professional events in Florida.
Sydney Liles (Phoenix, Arizona)
"Sydney is a senior transfer from the University of Minnesota and brings three years of Big 10 experience and maturity to our roster. She has played awesome this summer and shot a 72 to qualify for the USGA Pub Links this summer. Liles recently finished two shots away from winning a Cactus Tour event in Arizona. She captured a CPT event in 2006 and was the JGAA high school state champion."
Edwina Gold-Lowery (Norwich, England)
"Edwina is a bluechip recruit that had offers at dozens of universities across the country. The climate at Texas State was a major factor because she wants to play golf outdoors throughout the year. Gold-Lowery boasts a 75-stroke average in her tournaments over the past year, with a best round of 67. She will have a major impact on our program. In 2006, she captured the Norfolk Ladies Championship and made it to the Quarters at the Scottish Ladies in 2007. "
Jessica Salazar (Edinburg, Texas)
"Jessica won the very first golf tournament she ever played back in 7th grade and has continued to work hard ever since. While competing for Edinburg High School, she was named to the all-district team each year and ranked in the top four throughout the valled her junior and senior seasons. Salazar was named MVP of the valley while competing in prep school and will join the team as a sophomore, majoring in fashion merchandising."
Marlee Wilson (Nederland, Texas)
"Marlee has only been playing golf for one year and already shoots in the 70's regularly. I have not seen many prospects with as much raw
talent that she possess, hitting the ball over 250 yards off the tee. I am very excited to help her develop her game to the next level. Wilson captured her district tournament this past March and has the potential to be a star in college."
