The Texas State men's golf team is in 11th place after the first two rounds of the Border Olympics golf tournament after the Bobcats shot a team score of 605 on the par-72, 7,241-yard course at the Laredo Country Club.
Corey Roberson was Texas State's best individual player at the tournament as he enters Saturday's final round with a 2-over-par score of 146 through the first two rounds. Roberson began the day shooting a 3-over-par 75 before coming back to fire a 1-under-par 71 in the second round on Friday.
Tyler Barnes-Wolf is tied for 31st place with a two-round score of 150. Barnes-Wolf opened the tournament with a 1-over-par 73 before finishing the day with a 5-over-par 77 in the afternoon round.
Andrew Bryant is tied for 42nd place with a two-round score of 152, while Oscar Zetterwall and Michael Carnes both finished the first day with a score of 158.
Arkansas leads the team standings after the Razorbacks fired a two-round team score of 576. The host school, Houston, and South Carolina-Aiken are tied for second place with team scores of 580, while the defending champion, Lamar, is tied with New Mexico State for fourth place after they posted two-round team scores of 583.
The individual leader is Colston Williams of Baylor, who shot a 4-under-par 68 and a 3-under 69 in the second round to finish the first day with a two-round score of 137. UTEP's Roger Sloan is in second place with a two-round score of 139, and J.P. Solis of USC-Aiken is in third place with a score of 140.
