The Texas State men's golf team fired a 7-over-par 295 in the third and final round to finish in a tie for 11th place with Sam Houston State at the Louisiana Classics golf tournament Tuesday.
The tournament was played on the Oak Bourne Country Club's 7,002-yard, par 72 course that is considered the fourth-best course in Louisiana, and rated at 73.6 with a slope rating of 136.
Corey Roberson shot a 3-over-par 75 in the third round and finished with a three-day 6-over-par score of 222. Roberson finished in a tie for 22nd place.
Tyler Barnes-Wolf finished the tournament one shot back with a three-round score of 223 after he shot a 1-over par 73 in the third round. Oscar Zetterwall finished with a three-round score of 224 after he also fired a 3-over-par 75 in the final round.
Michael Carnes posted Texas State's best third-round score with an even par 72 to finish with a three-day score of 228. Andrew Bryant rounded out Texas State's team scoring with a 232 during the tournament after he shot a 7-over-par 79 in the third round.
Colorado was the team champion after shooting a 2-under-par 862 during the three rounds. The Buffaloes combined for a 9-under-par 279 as a team in the third round.
Kelly Kraft of SMU was the individual medalist after he finished the tournament with a 5-under-par total of 211. Kraft shot a 2-under-par 70 in the third round after firing a 4-under par 68 in the second.
Richmond's Jordan Utley was the runner up with a 2-under par 214.
Texas State will travel to Laredo, Texas for the Border Olympics Tournament on March 14-15.
