SAN MARCOS, Texas - The Texas State men's and women's cross country teams split up today as they traveled to two different places today to compete. The majority of the team competed at the TLU Invitational, while half of the women's team went to the Cowboy Jamboree.

The Texas State women's cross country "A" team placed 13th out of 25 at the 72nd Annual Cowboy Jamboree hosted by Oklahoma State University. The Bobcats competed on the 6,000-meter course, where Northern Arizona won the team crown followed by Oklahoma State and Miami (OH) to complete the Top 3 team finishes.

Tenley Determan led all Bobcats with a 37th place finish crossing the line in 22:28. Heather Bullin was right behind her in 43rd place with a time of 22:36. Amanda McKinney, Snadra Venegas and Kelly Butler rounded out the Top 5 for Texas State.

The other half of the cross country team was at the TLU Invite. The men's team finished fifth out of 13 teams. Roel Elizalde was the top Bobcat finisher of the day crossing the line in 26:44 to finish 12th. Mike Morris placed 23rd finishing in 27:36. The next three Bobcats to complete the top five were Miek Richards, Jonathan Hernandez and Hugo Corral.

The women's "B" team also competed at the TLU Invite as they finished third out of nine teams. Steffanie Armstrong placed ninth in a time of 24:15. Lauren McKenna had a time of 25:03. Dana Dolejsi crossed the line next (26:12), followed by Lindsey Maxwell (26:46) and Affma Martin (28:29).
