DENTON - Texas State's Corey Roberson and Phillip Krebsbach are currently tied for third after the opening round of the Cobb/Ferrell Mean Green Classic.

Texas State is in third place after the first round of the rain-shortened tournament.

While Roberson and Kresbach were both two-under for the first round, teammates Michael Carnes and Andrew Bryant are tied for 22nd after shooting first-round scores of 73, one-over par.

North Texas holds a one-stroke lead for first place over Western Kentucky. The Mean Green shot a 281 while WKU shot a 282 Monday. Texas State is five strokes back of UNT after shooting a 286 team score.

Western Kentucky's Justin Perry shot a six-under par 66 Monday and holds a three-shot lead over second-place Anthony Broussard of UNT.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes slated for Tuesday.
