Easter Egg Hunt Set for Saturday

April 3, 2007

SAN MARCOS - Texas State Athletics invites San Marcos families to enjoy Easter festivities at this Saturday's Bobcat baseball game when the team caps a three-game Southland Conference series against Sam Houston State. The game will begin at 1:00 pm and will feature a special Easter egg hunt for children during the early innings of the game.

The child that collects the most eggs will win a grand prize to be announced during the seventh inning.

Texas State Athletics is also offering free admission to fans who bring and donate a new or gently used Easter basket. The baskets are being collected to benefit a San Marcos area youth organization. For more information about donating, contact Peggy Stephens at 245-1827.

Texas State enters the weekend series with an 8-1 Southland Conference record, second in the league's West Division. Sam Houston State trails the Bobcats by just one game and is third in the division with a 7-2 record.
