Final Stats

CONWAY, ARK.--Texas State improved to 28-12 overall and 13-3 in the Southland Conference after beating Central Arkansas 7-5 in 11 innings. The Bears fall to 15-21 overall and 5-11 in the SLC.

The Bobcats out hit the Bears 12-9 in the first extra inning game of the season. David Wood hit his seventh home run of the season, sending a ball out to right center in the seventh inning. Thomas Field doubled and tripled while Jared Bunn and Laurn Randell also doubled.

Justin Fiske started on the mound, pitching 7.1 innings and striking out five. Eric Weaver improves to 5-0 on the season, throwing three innings, allowing four hits, one run and striking out three.

Game two of the series takes place at 1:00 p.m. on April 21 in Conway, Arkansas.
