San Marcos - The Texas State Athletics Department would once again like to thank and recognize several of our local family of partners who have helped establish this year's group of corporate partners as one of the largest in the history of the athletic department. By renewing and forming new strategic business alliances across Central Texas, Texas State Athletics can continue to position itself at the top of the Southland Conference.
Kelly Moore Paints and Wow Café and Wingery are among the new additions to this year's team. Kelly Moore Paints, the largest employee-owned paint company in the area, has joined our Bobcat team and has helped supply paint and financial assistance with several facility improvement jobs.
Shane Frazier, owner of both the Wow Café and Wingery and several local Subway restaurants, has been a long time long time supporter of Texas State Athletics and continues to reinforce our important alliance with area restaurants. You can't drive by Bobcat Stadium on Aquarena Springs drive without seeing their new ticket gate signage welcoming all of our students to Bobcat Stadium.
Both Kelly Moore Paints and Wow Café have also assisted us with the enhancement of our athletic facilities by sponsoring exciting murals recognizing former Bobcat great athletes and our outstanding Bobcat fans.
H-E-B has decided to revamp their partnership with Texas State Athletics and have significantly increased their financial support to our department. Throughout Texas, H-E-B has been known for their philanthropy and lasting community support, and nowhere will that be more evident then at our Bobcat athletic facilities. HEB is featured on one of our select Bobcat Stadium ticket gate signage areas, and will soon add to their current signage with additional advertising on the backside of our football scoreboard.
Our Wheels of Support program has been established to aid Texas State Athletics, with its primary function being the promotion of Bobcat Athletics in the areas of recruiting, scouting, public relations, and financial support. As a result of the generosity of participants in the Wheels of Support program, our coaches and administrators are able to visit numerous student-athletes and friends of the program each year.
Gillman Motors has once again renewed their relationship with Texas State Athletics, and with the assistance of General Manager Marcus Miller, the Bobcats will continue to benefit from a relationship with Gillman Imports of Austin. Gillman Motors has also decided to increase their support with the addition of their Honda of San Antonio dealership to our "Wheels of Support Team". Along with Marcus Miller, our department would like to thank David Kemp and Scott Dupons for their belief in the Bobcats.
Athletic alumnus, Bobcat Hall of Honor member, and long time Bobcat supporter Jim Stienke brings San Marcos Toyota back for another year with the Cats. This local dealership has served the area for many years, and Mr. Stienke can always be counted on to support his team. Along with their support of Coach Davalos and our men's basketball program, San Marcos Toyota added additional football signage to this year's partnership.
The Athletic Department also has great relationships with several local banks including Bank of America , Wells Fargo , Frost Bank and Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union. All of these banks support Texas State teams throughout the year, and are a vital part to the growth of our athletic department. Each bank has their own customized partnership with our department, with focus being on facility signage.
Both John Schott and Frost Bank, along with Don Nash and Wells Fargo are in multi-year agreements with our department. Both banks have been long time supporters of our department.
Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union and Bank of America both have agreed to continue their sponsorships, and have helped our department to continue to expand our base of bank partners.
Texas State Athletics has been fortunate enough to continue to build its relationships with several of the areas leading providers of internet, cable and phone service.
Time Warner Cable, with the assistance of Donna Hill, has continued to sponsor the Jr. Bobcat Club and will also continue to assist with the News 8 Austin program Inside Bobcat Football, the Brad Wright Show.
CenturyTel, and die-hard Bobcat fan General Manager John Navarrette, have continued to sponsor the three largest home tournaments for our department involving volleyball, women's basketball and softball. CenturyTel has also assisted with the sponsoring of our website and has added to the look of our athletic facilities by sponsoring athletic murals at both Bobcat Stadium and Strahan Coliseum.
Grande Communications has assisted our department with commercial advertising time as well as an increase in their partnership agreement. Grande Communications has also added to the look of our athletic facilities by sponsoring athletic murals at Strahan Coliseum and athletic gate flags at Bobcat Stadium.
