HUNTSVILLE - Sam Houston State won all three doubles matches then earned a split in singles play to post a 4-3 win over Texas State on Sunday.

Lainy Chafitz and Rabea Hartmann suffered an 8-6 loss to Lata Assudani and Irina Sotnikova at No. 1 Doubles while Ali Gulida and Sumarie Muller fell to Lauren Janak and Emma McDougall 9-7 at No. 3 Doubles.

Chafitz and Hartmann would rebound to win at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Chafitz posted a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 come-from-behind win over Sam Houston's Brooke Mills while Hartmann posted a 6-1, 6-1 win over Peta Taylor.

Texas State's other singles win came at No. 6 where Ali Gulida defeated Ahsley Longoria 6-0, 6-1.

Texas State is now 6-5 and 2-2 and returns to action March 24th when the Bobcats play host to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Sam Houston State earned a weekend sweep, beating Texas-Arlington on Saturday, to improve to 5-2, 2-0.
