Chris Agwumaro scored 19 points as Texas State posted a 77-65 road win over Texas-San Antonio Saturday in the Convocation Center.
Agwumaro went 5-for-7 from the field and knocked down 9-of-10 free throws as the Bobcats won a Southland Conference road game for the first time since 2005. The win, which snapped a six-game losing streak, was Texas State's first road win since beating Texas-Pan American 58-57 Dec. 15, 2005. The `Cats improved to 9-17 and 4-9 in the SLC. UTSA is now 6-19, 2-10.

The Bobcats would call a timeout after Blanchard's trey and UTSA coach Brooks Thompson would be called for a technical foul. Two free throws shot by Brent Holder for the technical would give the Bobcats a 58-56 lead after the timeout and Texas State would never relinquish the lead.
