Ragan Blake earned her first win as a Bobcat as Texas State (1-4) won for the first time in 2007 with a 3-0 win over SLC foe UTSA (1-4) in the consolation game of the CenturyTel Softball Classic.
Ali McCormack went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and hit her first home run of the season to pace the offense in the win.
The Bobcats jumped to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning when McCormack plated Amy Krueger, who stood at second after a double.
McCormack then added to the lead in the sixth inning with a solo homer to right center off Janeille Nickels. Leah Boatright and Jetta Weinheimer followed McCormack's lead with back-to-back doubles in the same inning to incease the lead to 3-0.
Blake shut down the Roadrunners in the circle, allowing just two hits while striking out seven. UTSA moved runners into scoring position three times but failed to advance past second.
Amanda Nikolenko took the loss for UTSA, pitching 3.2 innings and allowing a run on three hits while striking out three.

No. 7 Alabama 11, Oklahoma State 1
Mandy Burford drove in a five RBIs and hit her third home run of the weekend to lead No. 7 Alabama (5-0) to the CenturyTel Softball Classic title with an 11-1 win over Oklahoma State (3-2).
Oklahoma State scored first on a Kim Kaye RBI single in the top of the third, but the Crimson Tide answered with five runs in the bottom of the inning and six more in the fourth.
Ashley Holcombe also drove in three runs for Alabama, while Chrissy Owens improved to 3-0, striking out five in five innings of work.
