SAN MARCOS - Texas State junior Brandon Bush scored 24 points to lead six Bobcat players in double figures in Monday's 131-96 exhibition win over Concordia.

Bush was 9-of-17 from the field. He also had five assists and four rebounds in 21 minutes of play

Junior college transfer Brent Benson scored 17 points off the bench, knocking down 4-of-7 three-pointers. Dylan Moseley registered a double-double, finishing with 13 points to go with 10 rebounds. Moseley also had two assists, two steals and blocked a shot.

Texas State knocked down 13-of-32 three-pointers on the night (40 percent).

Concordia was led by junior guard Joel McDonald who scored 25 points while Valentino Maxwell added 20, including an 11-for-16 night at the free throw line.

Texas State opened the game with a 15-2 run as Concordia missed seven of its first eight shots. Less than seven minutes into the game, the Bobcats had stretched the lead to 20 when Ryan White made a pair of free throws to put Texas State up 28-8 with 13:32 to play in the period.

The Bobcats led 70-42 at the break.

Texas State hit the century mark with 9:02 to play as Chris Agwumaro, who finished with 15 points, scored on a layin from Bush giving the Bobcats a 101-74 lead.

Monday's exhibition served as a final tune up for the Bobcats who open the season Friday when they play host to Huston-Tillotson. Concordia opens the season Nov. 20 at St. Edward's.

Preseason Sackin': Members of the Texas State men's and women's basketball teams will be sacking groceries and greeting customers Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the H-E-B located at the corner of Hopkins and Thorpe in San Marcos. The outing will come a day before both teams open their seasons. In addition to the men playing host to Huston-Tillotson Friday at 7 p.m., the women take on Texas A&M-International Friday at 5 p.m.
