UTSA Invitational Final Results

KERRVILLE - Texas State's Michael Carnes and Tyler Barnes-Wolf both shot subpar rounds Tuesday to finish in the Top 20 as the Bobcats tied for fifth at the UTSA Invitational played at Comanche Trace Golf Club.

Carnes began the tournament with a four-over par 76 during Monday's morning round before carding a 69 during the afternoon. He followed the 69 with a 71 Tuesday to post a three-round score of 216 and finish in a tie for 12 individually.

Barnes-Wolf carded a 70 Tuesday and finished with a 217 for the tournament. He finished in a tie for 15th along with teammate Corey Roberson. Roberson was tied for eighth after Monday's play but a 76 on Tuesday left him with a 217 score.

As a team, Texas State shot a 295 and finished with a three-round score of 876 to tie for fifth with Texas-San Antonio.

St. John's shot a 280 Tuesday and won the tournament with a 54-hole score of 844, three strokes ahead of SMU.

Western Michigan's Brent Long shot a 63 on Tuesday and finished with a three-round score of 200, 16 strokes under par to win the tournament by 12 shots.

Texas State closes out its fall season next week when the squad travels to the Battle at the Bend in Many, La.
