Head Coach Brad Wright

Opening Statement: "Obviously, this is a lot better than what we have been doing as far as the score is concerned. Even though it didn't look like it at the end, you have to give credit to our defense. We put a couple of new things in schematically this last week because we got tired of beating our heads up against the wall doing what we were doing. But it's a credit to those coaches and young men that fought through it and came out with a great attitude this week."

On the Defensive Performance: "We got a little bit more of a bend but don't break policy. They got some yardage and they got some plays but then they'd throw us an interception. That's the kind of direction we're going to end up going."

On the passing game: "The combination of Bradley George to Cameron Luke has been pretty good for us all season. Cameron screwed up and only got three touchdowns, we had a deal, he was supposed to get five. Wait, he had four touchdowns, well he was only one short."

"Give a lot of credit to these kids. They came out and worked hard everyday, and a lot of people wouldn't have done that going through what we've gone through the last five weeks."

On chances of winning conference with two losses: "It has been done before. We're going to take them one at a time. This was a big one for us, because it proved to our kids that they can do what we're asking them to do. It's going to be one of the greatest films to watch because they're going to be able to see what we need to do to get better."

Quarterback Bradley George

On making plays in the passing game: "It makes it a lot easier when you have receivers who can go up and take it away from people. But looking at the stats here, when you have 447 rushing yards it makes it a lot easier throwing the ball. I think the offensive line did a great job."

Running back Alvin Canady:

"I give a lot of credit to our offensive line, they came out on a mission. They opened up a lot of holes and we just hit them."

SFA Head Coach J.C. Harper

"We had a rally in the 2nd half that was too little, too late...great job by Texas State, the coaches and the players...they came out and got after us with their offense and took care of business."

"We had foolish penalties. You can't win a game with foolish penalties and tonight we had an array of those and just didn't play championship football."

"The bottom line is Texas State wanted the game, they wanted the win and they played that way."
