HOUSTON - Texas State opened a two-game road trip to Houston Friday with a 7-0 loss at No. 57 Rice.

The Owls won all six singles matches in straight sets as well as swept three doubles matches for the victory.

Rice snapped a five-match losing streak all to top-45 opponents with the win to improve to 4-8. Texas State, now 2-6, takes on Houston Saturday.
