COLLEGE STATION - Texas State and Texas A&M needed 10 innings to decide Wednesday's outcome at the Aggie Softball Complex in front of a near capacity crowd.

The game produced little offense through the first nine innings, with both teams combining for only seven hits and no runs.

Texas State had its first scoring opportunity in the top of the first, when Ryan Kos reached base on an error by the centerfielder Sharonda McDonald and advanced all the way to third with one out.

The `Cats couldn't bring the runner in, as the last two batters were retired on strikes and a groundout to leave Kos stranded at third.

Texas A&M had its first scoring threat in the bottom half of the fourth, with runners on second and third with one out. That's all the `Cats would allow, as Katie Ann Trahan retired the next two batters to kill the Aggie rally.

The Bobcats finally put the first run of the game on the scoreboard in the top of the tenth, thanks to the international tie-breaker rule. Jill Kloesel was placed on second and sacrificed home by a fly ball from Tamara Keller.

In the Aggie bottom half of the tenth, the Bobcats couldn't get the outs when they needed them the most.

After playing error free ball the entire game, three Bobcat errors in the bottom of the tenth allowed Texas A&M to plate the two game winning runs. That marks the 13th time the Aggies have won on a last inning rally.

Texas State will step back in conference this weekend, taking on Texas-San Antonio at Roadrunner Field. The three-game series kicks off with a doubleheader Saturday afternoon beginning at 1 p.m.
