Texas-Arlington swept doubles play then won five of six singles matches to post a 6-1 win over Texas State in Southland Conference play Saturday.
With the win, UTA improved to 5-7 overall and 4-1 in the SLC. Texas State is now 3-13 and 1-4. The Bobcats play host to Sam Houston State Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Texas State Tennis Complex.
On Saturday, Christina Amo came back from a first set loss to UTA's Daniela Novakova to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 and garner the Bobcats' lone point of the match. The freshman from Fort Worth improved to 9-6 overall and 4-1 in Southland Conference play with the win.
