Ricky Woods posted a double-double as Southeastern Louisiana erased a 16-point halftime deficit to take a 68-60 victory Thursday at Strahan Coliseum.
Woods scored 21 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as Southeastern Louisiana (10-10, 4-5 Southland Conference) outscored the Bobcats 51-27 in the second half.
Antwoine Blanchard scored 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting to lead Texas State (2-16, 0-7 SLC). Brandon Bush scored 12 points and Charles Dotson added 11 points for the Bobcats.
Justin Edwards scored 17 points and Quennell Green added 13 points for the Lions.
The Lions opened the second half on a 17-4 run, cutting the Bobcat lead to three at 37-34 on a layup from Jonathan Walker with 13:18 left to play in the game. Walker scored 11 points..
After the Bobcats responded with a three-pointer from Blanchard that pushed the lead back to six, the Lions went on an 8-0 run to establish a four-point lead at the 8:50 mark.
The Bobcats would close to within one point at 46-45 with 7:39 remaining before Southeastern Louisiana pulled away with a 12-2 rally over the next four minutes to give them a 58-47 lead.
Texas State shot 65 percent from the field in the first half, but was held to 30 percent on 8-for-27 shooting in the second half.
The Bobcats return to action Saturday when they play host the Nicholls State (3-6, 7-13 SLC). Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m in Strahan Coliseum.
