HOUSTON - Texas State had men and women pole vaulters place among the top three as the Bobcats competed at the UH/RunSport All-Comers Meet Saturday at the University of Houston.

Casey Cummings placed second in the men's pole vault with a mark of 4.70 meters (15-05.00) while Eric Williams finished fourth in the event for the Bobcats. He also had a best vault of 4.70 meters. On the women's side Rebekah Vickers placed third with a best vault of 3.65 meters (11-11.75).

The meet was held on the same track which will play host to this week's Southland Conference Indoor Championships.

Javier Prado placed second in the men's one mile run with a time of 4:21.38 while Eric Sheppard finished third in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.28.

Texas State's Lindsey Smith had the third-best mark among collegians in the women's long jump as her jump of 5.38 meters was good for fifth overall. Sara Olayiwola placed fourth in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.30 meters.
