ARLINGTON - Texas-Arlington won the doubles point then captured five of six singles wins to defeat Texas State 6-1 Saturday at the UTA Tennis Center.

Texas-Arlington remained undefeated in Southland Conference, improving to 7-0 in league play. Texas State is now 6-10 overall and 3-5 in the SLC.

No. 90 Payla Meterova improved to 11-0 at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Texas State's Leja Sirola. Daniela Novakova posted a7-5, 6-0 decision over the Bobcats' Melanie Hall at No. 2.

Texas State continues its in-state road swing Sunday when the Bobcats play at Sam Houston State.
