ROUND ROCK - It took ten innings and a little magic, but Texas State was able to get past Nebraska 2-1 Saturday at the Maxwell Auto Group Round Rock College Classic played at Dell Diamond.

Texas State fell behind early, as Nebraska lead-off hitter Trey Adams scored on a Joe Simokaitis base hit, but Bobcat pitching would shut down the Huskers from that point forward.

The Bobcats were held off the scoreboard until the sixth, when Cassidy Dresch scored on a Kyle Anson base hit.

Both teams would stay scoreless until the bottom of the tenth, when with runners on first and second, Texas State shortstop Dominic Ramos came to the plate. Ramos ran the count full, and after two tipped foul balls, the Bobcat senior belted a ball down the third base line that grabbed the corner of the bag and hopped into the air over Nebraska third baseman Alex Gordon, plating Nolan Mast from third.

On the day, Nebraska left nine runners on base, and were unable to take advantage of two Bobcat errors. Chris Jean pitched six innings, striking out 5, while Chris Hill threw two innings, striking out one. The Bobcat win goes to Scott Moore, who pitched two innings and game up no hits, walking one. Moore's record improves to 3-0 on the season.

The loss went to Johnny Dorn for the Huskers, who lost for the first time this year, falling to 8-1 on the season, while the Bobcats improve to 11-4 following the win.

Texas State is back in action Sunday at Dell Diamond, taking on Texas A&M at 2 p.m.
