FORT WORTH - Texas State closed out a season-opening road trip to north Texas Saturday with a 7-0 loss to No. 19 TCU.

Bobcat second-year coach Tory Plunkett continued to make moves to Texas State's lineup Saturday as only No. 1 seed Leja Sirola (0-3) has played all three of her singles matches at the same position.

The most competitive match against TCU Saturday came at No. 2 doubles where Paige Brown and Andrea Morgado posted an 8-5 win over Texas State's Natalie McLeod and Sirola.

Texas State (0-3) returns to action Saturday at Rice and will also play Houston on Sunday. The Bobcats open at home Feb. 17 against St. Edwards.
