SAN MARCOS, Texas - Texas State softball won both of its games Friday at the CenturyTel Bobcat Classic. First, the Bobcats put away the Northern Colorado Bears 6-0. Then they moved on to close down UT-Arlington 7-0.

 

            Senior catcher, Rachael Bonetti put away two long balls in consecutive innings to secure the Bobcats win over the Mavericks. She also scored one run against UNC. Bonetti was behind the plate for the Bobcats for both games on, Friday.

 

            Junior, Katie Ann Trahan was the starting pitcher for both Bobcat games. For the day she gave-up no runs, only allowed seven hits and walked five batters. Trahan also contributed offensively with home run of her own in the six inning of the `Cats win against UTA.

 

The Bobcats open up the season 2-0, with two more game scheduled for Saturday and one on Sunday to finish out the classic. The results from Friday's games are listed below, along with the remainder of the games scheduled for the CenturyTel Classic.
