LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Trailing 1-0, Oregon's Lovena Chaput and Suzie Barnes hit back home runs to lead off the sixth inning and the 13th-ranked Ducks went on to beat Texas State 7-1 Saturday at the Louisville Slugger UNLV Desert Classic.

With the win, Oregon improved to 5-1 this season. Texas State is now 3-3 heading into Sunday's play against Wichita State and Utah.

Texas State starting pitcher Katie Ann Trahan had scattered two hits through five innings before Oregon scored seven runs in the final two innings.

The Bobcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo home run by Rachael Bonetti.
