HOUSTON - Texas State suffered a 7-0 loss to No. 38 Rice Saturday as the Bobcats continue a challenging two-week stretch to open the season.

The Bobcats lost last week at nationally-ranked SMU and TCU and are currently 0-4 on the year heading into today's game at the University of Houston.

Rice swept all six singles matches also won three in doubles competition.
