Texas State University had 51 student-athletes who compete in cross country, football, soccer and volleyball named to the Hibernia Bank/Southland Conference Commissioner's 2004 Fall Academic Honor Roll which was released Tuesday.

Presented by Hibernia Bank, the honor roll recognizes student-athletes who competed in league championship sports during the fall semester and maintained a 3.0 semester grade point average while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours. The Southland Conference recognized 400 student-athletes with the honor.

Among the honorees, 76 were all-academic team members, All-Conference selections, and/or both in their respective sports this season.

Texas State's Jaynee Sherman was voted the student-athlete in soccer while Krystal Kolkhorst capped off a stellar career in 2004 as she was named student-athlete of the year, SLC Setter of the Year, CoSIDA Academic All-District and All-America in volleyball.

Hibernia's support of the Southland Conference Academic Awards Program include the F.L. McDonald Postgraduate Scholarship, the Hibernia Bank Southland Conference All-Acamdeic Teams, Hibernia Bank Student-Athlete of the Year, Hibernia Bank Scholar-Athlete Award and the Hibernia Bank Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
