Texas State's Corey Roberson had consistent rounds of 73 and 72 Monday to head into the final round of the ULM/Fred Marx Invitational tied for sixth.
Roberson's two-round score of 145 is three shots behind the leaders, New Orleans' Adam Collins, Louisiana-Monroe's Daniel Keeton and Nicholls State's Donny Schmitt. The final round is slated to begin Tuesday morning at Bayou Desiard Country Club.
Through two rounds, Texas State is tied with McNeese State for seventh place in the 11-team tournament with scores of 592. UNO leads the tournament field after four of its players carded scores good enough for the top 25 and head into the final round with a 577, three strokes ahead of host Louisiana Monroe. Nicholls State is third after shooting a two-round score of 582 while Samford is fourth with a 584.
Texas State's Bobby Hutcheson is tied for 17th after back-to-back rounds of 74 gave him a score of 148. Colin Merritt and Tyler Barnes are tied for 30th with scores of 150.
