Bobcats Complete Two Days of Competition at Rainbow Invite

San Marcos, Texas - The Texas State women's tennis team completed day two of competition at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii with a dual match against invite host Hawaii and Texas A&M.

The `Cats won two singles matches and one double competition against the Rainbows as the team of Sumarie Muller and Jana Cucciniello defeated Justine Boutet and Kana Aikawa 8-6.

Margaret Potyrala came back to win her fourth seeded match in three sets (4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (2)) against Paige Mainor while Tina Klemenc swept Chloe Bihag in two sets (6-3, 6-4).

Against the Aggies, Klemenc battled Marisa Druss before falling in a three-set tiebreaker (4-6, 7-6 (8), 10-4) while top seed Leja Sirola lost in straight sets to Helga Viera. The Bobcats will conclude competition on Saturday against the Wildcats of Arizona.
