SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Texas State women's basketball dropped its game at UTSA on Thursday night by a 64-41 scoreline.

Despite the result, two Bobcats were in double digits with
Deja Jones tallying 11 points and
Kyra Anderson with 10. Anderson also had a team-best eight rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
UTSA got momentum early in the game, going up 8-2 before the first media timeout. From there, Texas State fought to keep it close but the Roadrunners shot 7-9 in the first quarter for 21 points to make the Bobcats trail 21-12 after the first quarter.

Saniya Burks tallied five points in the second quarter to lead the Bobcats into the half. The Roadrunners scored just 16 in the second quarter, so at the half the Bobcats trailed by just 12 with a 37-25 score.Â

Scoring woes found the Bobcats in the third quarter though with the team scoring just six points in the third. The Roadrunners scored 17 on 6-11 shooting to extend their lead. After three quarters Texas State trailed 54-31.

The two teams matched 10 points each in the fourth quarter, but Texas State was unable to overcome the deficit and lost 64-41.
