ADDISON GAETANO

Looking back on my life, I can truly say that coming to Texas State was one of the biggest blessings yet. As a little girl, I always dreamed of playing collegiate soccer. That dream became my reality and these past four years completely exceeded my expectations. Along the way I’ve met teammates who have stood by my side when I was at my lowest and cheered me on at my highest. These people have become my family that I know will walk with me for the rest of my life.

Each of my coaches, trainers, and teammates have impacted me for the better and taught me lessons that I will never forget. I am so lucky to have been a part of a sport that taught me the value of commitment and work ethic. Though I’ll never be ready to hang up my cleats, I will close this chapter knowing that the memories I’ve created and the relationships I’ve made will never fade.

When you think of Addison Gaetano you think of work, drive and determination. She’s someone that’s ultra-competitive and loves to help others. I think she is going to be successful at whatever she does. She just has that type of drive that you see in champions.

GABIE JONES

I always knew this day would come and that this amazing journey would come to an end, but I don’t think I was ready for this day to be here so soon. People say time flies when you are having fun and I can honestly say that is an understatement. Words cannot express how much I have loved my time here and I’m forever grateful for the amazing memories I have made the last four years. I have learned so many life lessons and met so many impactful people who I will forever call my best friends and family.

This has been one of the most challenging, yet rewarding experiences that I will take with me for the rest of my life. It was truly a blessing to spend my four years here at Texas State and I would not trade it for the world. As this chapter comes to an end, I am saddened but also know that with the amazing foundation this program has given me, I can enter the next adventure with open arms.

Gabie Jones - Georgia State_2021
Gabie is one of the most compassionate and shy individuals that we’ve had here. But when she steps onto the field, she plays like she’s 10-foot tall and bulletproof. She has done that since day one. It’s always fun and exciting to watch her play because it’s like seeing a little bobcat kitten turn into a big, ferocious bobcat. It is always unique to see her fight like she does.

ALLY KEWISH

The memories and lessons I have learned during my time here at Texas State will last a lifetime. Each and every teammate I have had the privilege to play with has helped shape me into the person I am today. My time here with this team and on our field during long practices, early mornings and in hard fought games has brought me much more than soccer.

I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I gained friendships, made mistakes, and grew so incredibly much that my freshman self would be astounded to see where I have ended up today. Because of all the great times and many challenging trials, I have never been more confident to be who I am. And for that, I am eternally grateful.

Ally is one of those people that is so caring and kind while also being very creative and talented. I don’t know how many people know that she can draw, write and is a really talented individual. I think she’s going to be truly successful wherever she goes and whatever she does. Ally is a truly gifted individual both on and off the field.

HANNAH SOLANO

As my time here at Texas State is coming to an end, I have been able to reflect on my experience over the last three and half years of being on the soccer team. Although I’ve always thought it was just a cliché for people leaving college, I can officially look back and say that these have been nothing shy of the best years of my life. Each and everyone of my teammates, trainers and coaches have made the early mornings, late nights, fitness tests, two-a-days, times in the training room and spring practices bearable.

For as long as I’ve been here, the Texas State soccer team has gone beyond just being my teammates. They’ve been my family. I owe my time here to each and everyone of those girls and I wouldn’t go back and change a thing. Being blessed is an understatement to sum up my journey here.

When I think of Hannah, I think of upbeat, positive, outgoing and a bubbly personality. She always seems to be ready to have a great day and that is infectious. When I recruited her, I knew we had to have that type of person on the team. It is so good to have someone that can bring that type of atmosphere to the program.

They all bring what I look for in players and that is being positive, upbeat, driven to be excellent while at the same time being a kind and considerate person. I think that speaks for this whole senior class. That is who they are and what we want as Bobcats.
