| TXST Athletics Announces Changes to Ticketing & Gameday Protocol |
Dear TXST Students,
In an effort to encourage social distancing and contactless ticketing, we are enhancing our student ticketing process for Texas State home games this fall to make all TXST facilities a safe environment for fans. The following changes are based on best practices in coordination with NCAA, Sun Belt Conference, federal, state, and local guidelines.
Digital Tickets
Students now have the opportunity to claim their game ticket in advance online through TXST.com and our new digital platform. Tickets can be claimed by filling out the TXST Student Game Ticket Request form and will be sent digitally to your mobile device. We strongly encourage you to claim your game tickets in advance!
Request forms will be available online beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday each week. Requests must be submitted by 2 p.m. the day before the requested game.
Students who claim tickets in advance are encouraged to download and store their tickets to their Apple Wallet or Google Pay accounts. On game day, stadium representatives will scan the ticket directly off of your mobile device as you enter the venue.
You can only request one (1) ticket for yourself for each home game. You must submit a form for each home game you wish to attend. You cannot request a season pass. Students who fail to use claimed tickets run the risk of losing the opportunity to claim tickets in advance for future football games.
Students found to be selling or exchanging claimed tickets will lose their privilege to attend Texas State Athletic events moving forward.
All student tickets will be located in the reserved student section of the venue (see sections and links to venue seating charts below).
Bobcat Stadium (Sections 115-123; 210-223)
Strahan Arena - Volleyball (Sections 101-112)
Strahan Arena - Basketball (Sections: Determined just prior to start of the season. Check TXST.com for student ticket update.)
Bobcat Ballpark (Sections: Determined just prior to start of the season. Check TXST.com for student ticket update.)
Bobcat Softball Stadium (Sections: Determined just prior to start of the season. Check TXST.com for student ticket update.)

You will know your ticket request was approved when you receive your digital tickets. Seats will be allocated as forms are received until capacity or the deadline from online student ticket requests is reached. Digital tickets will be delivered via email from gametickets@txstate.edu with the subject line: "Your Texas State Mobile Tickets are ready!". We recommend adding this email address to your safe recipients list in your email app.
Reserved Seats only at TXST venues
To assist with social distancing and contact tracing, all student seats will now be assigned reserved seats (no longer general admission seating). Students are required to sit in their assigned location. The form does allow you to request seats to be near up to five other Texas State students; however, those students will have to individually submit their own request. You cannot submit one on their behalf. We will make our best effort to seat you near any requests you make.
Limited Student Capacity
For the TXST football home opener against SMU on September 5th, Bobcat Stadium will be operating at 25% capacity and will remain at this capacity until further notice. All other venues will operate at this same capacity until further notice. We have allocated 4000 student tickets for home football games which constitutes majority of the permitted capacity. Each form is time stamped and will be filled in the order for when it was received by the Athletic Ticket Office.
Student ID swipe to claim your tickets on game day
Any student tickets still available when gates open at Bobcat Athletic events can be claimed by scanning your valid Texas State Student ID on a first come first serve basis. Gates open 90 minutes to kickoff at Bobcat Stadium and will be distributed until permitted capacity is reached. Gates at other sporting events will open one hour prior to game time.
Gameday Student Parking
This upcoming season students will be able to purchase gameday parking permits for spots available in the East Lot of Bobcat Stadium. Students are encouraged to purchase their permit in advance by going to txst.com/tickets and using the promo code STUDENTPARK in the upper right hand corner of the page. You will then receive a confirmation email and an email including a parking permit that you can print and place on your dash or download to your Apply Wallet or Google Pay account for a parking representative to scan.
To enter East Lot of Bobcat Stadium, turn off of Thorpe Lane onto Robbie Lane (next to HEB). You will then be directed to the East Lot by a parking representative and be asked to display your permit for them to scan.
For any questions regarding the new student ticketing process or gameday parking sales please contact the Texas State Athletics Ticket Office at 512-245-2272 or emailing them at gametickets@txstate.edu.
