Yolanda Wilkerson was a four-year letterwinner for the Bobcat women's basketball team from 1993-97. She was named the top female athlete at Texas State in 1997, and her accomplishments are scattered throughout the Texas State women's basketball record books.
 

She ranks sixth all-time leading scorer in program history with 1,692 points. She is also second in career steals (204), fourth in rebounds (910) and fifth in both assists (277) and blocked shots (60). She is also ranked in several top 10 single-season records, including fifth in assists (153), eighth in scoring (547) and 10th in both rebounds (260) and free throws made (99).
 
Wilkerson helped lead her team to a Southland Conference Tournament championship and an appearance in the 1997 NCAA Tournament during her senior season. The Bobcats finished with a 17-12 record and an 11-5 SLC mark that year. Texas State challenged for a conference title all four years Wilkerson donned the maroon and gold. The Bobcats finished with a 20-8 record during her first year and posted a 17-11 mark when she was a sophomore. As a junior, she helped lead Texas State to a 19-10 record overall with a 14-4 mark in league play.
 
She led the Bobcats in scoring during her sophomore and junior years and led the team in steals and rebounds in her junior and senior years. Wilkerson also led the team in field-goal percentage every year of her career, shooting a career high 58.5 percent in her junior season. In addition, she led the team in assists her freshman year.
 
Wilkerson was named All-Southland Conference during all four years of her career, picking up First Team accolades each of her final two years. She earned Second Team honors in her freshman and sophomore campaigns. Wilkerson also was named the SLC Freshman of the Year in 1994 and was selected to the SLC All-Tournament Team in both 1994 and 1996. She served as Texas State's team captain and was named the Most Outstanding Player by her teammates and coaches in her sophomore and junior seasons. She also was an athletic Academic Award recipient during each of her four years for having a GPA of at least 3.0, and served as a member of the NCAA "Yes Mentoring Team" in 1997.                
 
Wilkerson graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice-corrections. She also completed her second undergraduate degree in 2000 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in computer information systems. She was named to the Dean's List in 1998 and 2000. She also graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2004 with a Master of Business Administration in finance, completing the degree while working full time and earning a 3.8 GPA.
 
Wilkerson is currently employed with ExxonMobil as an analytics solution advisor in the Information Technology Division in Houston. She has been with ExxonMobil since 2001. In her role, she also recruits Texas State students for careers with ExxonMobil. Wilkerson also serves on the Texas State Computer Information Advisory Board. She is active in the "T" Association, Bobcat Club and participates in women's basketball reunions.
 
Wilkerson is a volunteer with the United Way Gulf Coast and BEST, and is a member of an ExxonMobil volunteer group that mentors and facilitates STEM camps and coordinates backpack and school supply drives for various schools throughout Houston.
