Texas State Athletics

Ronald Beauford has served as a prominent figure in central Texas, beginning his Texas State chapter as an undergraduate, graduating in 1957 and continuing into graduate work. Beauford was a two time All -American on the Bobcat track team and won the National Freshmen College Long Jump title in 1954-55. Beauford was honored by Texas State as a two-time All-American. He was also the Lone Star Conference Champion in the 100 and 200-yard dash. Beauford also served as captain of the U.S Air Force Reserve at Brooke and Kelly Air Force Bases in San Antonio.
