David Morrison

David Morrison was a standout for the Texas State football team, earning letters each year from 1964-67. A two-position athlete, Morrison held many school records as a wide receiver and field goal kicker. These records include: most receiving yards in a game, season and career; field goals made in a season and career; and points scored in a career.
He received recognition as a member of the American Football Coaches District 7 All Star Team, the All-Lone Star Conference Team from 1964-67 and the All-ATC team in 1966 and 1967. Morrison was also the 1966 Lone Star Conference Player of the Year. In 1967, Morrison was named as an NAIA All-American, and he was drafted by the Oakland Raiders of the NFL in 1968. He was also honored to receive the Gaillardian Award from Texas State University in 1966.
Morrison has been in commercial real estate for more than 30 years. He is currently self-employed as a commercial real estate broker at Austin Premium Property Management Company. He has been involved in coaching children’s recreational sports, volunteering for church youth and bible ministry for business men and leading a men’s prayer group for businessmen in Austin. Morrison regularly attends “T” Association and Bobcat athletic events and is a current Bobcat football season ticket holder.
Morrison is married to Jennifer Popisil and has three daughters, Tiffani, Paige and Ashley.
