Texas State Athletics

Daniel Bierstedt attended Texas State from 1975-1979. He was a key contributor to the Bobcat Football team from 1975-1978. Bierstedt has a notable list of honors, including 1977 Defensive Player of the Year, Honorable Mention All-Lone Star Conference, 1978 J.C. Kellam Award, 1^st Team All-Lone Star Conference, Honorable Mention Little American, and Co-Captain of the 1978-1979 Football Team. Upon graduation, Bierstedt signed a professional football contract with the NFL Los Angeles Rams.
