Jersey Retirement:
Any person may nominate in writing, any eligible former Texas State athletic alumni for jersey retirement.
Candidates will be reviewed every third year (beginning in January 2010) by the department of athletics retiring of athletic jersey committee. Applications are due by January 1st of each review year to the Jersey Retirement Committee.

Hall of Honor:
Induction into the Texas State "T" Association Hall of Honor is the highest honor bestowed upon former athletic alumni based on their athletic career, professional career, and impact on Bobcat Athletics. Any "T" member may nominate in writing, any eligible fellow "T" member for induction into the Hall of Honor. The nominee's eligibility must have been expired for 10 years. Each year up to five (5) Hall of Honor members are voted into the Hall of Honor by our "T" Association Board of Directors during our annual August board meeting. Once voted by the "T" Association Board of Directors, recommendations will be given to the University President for final approval. To nominate a former Bobcat please complete the PDF below.
Texas State "T" Association Hall of Honor Qualification Process

I. Nomination for Hall of Honor Induction
A. Any "T" Association member may nominate in writing, any eligible fellow "T" member. This must be done by June 1st of each year for the person to be considered for induction at the Annual Spring "T" Association meeting.
B. All nominations must be submitted in writing to the Executive Director of the Texas State "T" Association by June 1st.
C. The "T" Association Board, acting as a body, is urged to review the "T" Association membership and make nominations of their own, if desired.
II. Selection Process of Nominees Presented to the "T" Association Board
A. The "T" Association Board shall select from nominee resumes by ranking all nominees on a ballot form.
B. Resumes of nominees along with a ballot of nominees in alphabetical order by decade shall be prepared, mailed and/or given to each "T" Association Board member. Resumes shall be presented in same order as the ballot. A plain envelope marked "BALLOT" shall be included if mailed.
C. Resumes, along with a copy of the ballot, will be sent to the "T" Association Board of Directors prior to the annual August meeting.
D. Once nominated, a "T" member will remain on the list of nominated members for a period of five (5) years, at which time the member name would be removed from the ballot.
E. Once nominees are selected by the "T" Association Board of Directors for induction in the Hall of Honor, recommendations will be forwarded to the University President for final approval.
F. Resumes of members nominated may be updated upon written request by "T" Association Board Members, when they feel additional information may be beneficial to their possible selection to the Hall of Honor. A request to update resumes should be done after the 2nd and 4th year of nomination. The Executive Director of the "T" Association will notify those nominated members of the need to update or provide additional information on their resume/Hall of Honor Information Nomination Form.
G. If a member is removed from the Ballot following their 5th year of nomination, a "T" member may be re-nominated by a minimum of 5 "T" members. The re-nomination must be submitted in writing and signed by the 5 "T" members."
III. Qualifications for Hall of Honor Nominees
A. Nominated "T" Association members collegiate athletics eligibility must be expired for a minimum of 10 years before being eligible for the Hall of Honor ballot (revised 12/2/14).
B. "T" Association members who had an outstanding athletic career at Texas State.
C. The candidate will have distinguished themselves in their chosen profession.
